Finance

Responsibilities
The Finance Department handles all aspects of accounting related to City operations. The department safeguards the City's assets and ensures compliance with city policies, state laws, and accounting regulations that govern governmental accounting.

The department is responsible for:
  • Utility billing
  • DiamondNet billing
  • Payroll
  • Purchasing (Open bids)
  • Accounts payable
  • Asset, debt, and general ledger management
  • Grant applications and management
In addition to daily operations, the Finance Department also provides numerous reports and analysis for the City Commissioners and senior management.
